A Garden Wedding at Waimea
The Shubins celebrated at Waimea Valley’s Palm Meadow, with a ceremony beneath the trees, portraits beside the waterfall, and a reception under the canopy. Explore the moments and details from this Oʻahu wedding.
Behind the celebration
Garden vows, waterfall portraits, an evening together
The Shubins’ Waimea Valley wedding unfolded across the garden: a ceremony beneath the trees, portraits near the waterfall, space for guests to gather, and a reception framed by tropical greenery. The green lounge and covered reception carried the feeling of the landscape through the celebration, ending with a dance beneath the lights.
What we planned
I worked with the couple and venue on the Palm Meadow layout, revised the floor plan to fit the rental order, and prepared the wedding-day timeline, vendor setup details, seating materials, and photo list. I coordinated venue logistics with our on-site lead and shared the plans with the vendor team so the ceremony, portraits, and reception could flow together.
Details to notice
Green lounge seating and tropical reception décor echo the garden. The story moves from daylight portraits to dining under a canopy and dancing beneath string lights.
A personal connection to Waimea Valley
I grew up near Waimea Valley, and its gardens have stayed with me ever since. Returning to plan the Shubins’ wedding at Palm Meadow made this celebration especially meaningful to me.
