WEDDINGS BY HAUʻOLI · FEATURED HONOLULU VENUE
Café Julia Hawaiʻi Weddings
Historic Honolulu elegance, a romantic courtyard, and the convenience of ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception options in one location.
Why I recommend Café Julia
I have personally coordinated a wedding reception at Café Julia, including the Santoscoy wedding on July 14, 2023. Having worked with the venue team and managed real wedding-day logistics there, I know how the property can function in practice—not just how it looks in photos.
Café Julia is especially appealing for couples who want a classic, elegant Honolulu celebration with a sense of place, flexible indoor-outdoor flow, and enough room for a larger guest list.
01 · EXCLUSIVE USE
Courtyard, Café & Banquet Hall
For a full-venue wedding, the Courtyard, Café, and Banquet Hall are reserved together, with no other event taking place that evening.
02 · GUEST EXPERIENCE
Up to 200 Guests
The venue can accommodate celebrations of up to 200 guests, making it a strong option for larger Honolulu weddings.
03 · WEATHER PLAN
Indoor Backup Included
The courtyard is commonly used for the ceremony, while the Banquet Hall can serve as a rain-backup or reception option.
A natural wedding-day flow
A common format is a courtyard ceremony followed by cocktail hour in the Café while the courtyard is transformed for the reception. Couples can also choose to host the reception in the Banquet Hall, with cocktail and seated tables arranged in the courtyard if desired.
Full-venue weddings typically run from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with vendor and décor access beginning two hours earlier and a one-hour breakdown window afterward. Music ends at 10:00 PM, with last call at 9:15 PM and the bar closing at 9:30 PM.
What is included
According to Café Julia’s current 2026 wedding information, the venue package includes tables, chairs, linens, tableware, lighting, staffing, security, trash removal, and additional venue amenities. Customized lighting and wall projections are also included in the venue fee.
Dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Wedding cakes and outside desserts from licensed businesses are allowed, subject to the venue’s requirements.
EARLY BUDGETING
Planning for a Café Julia wedding
For 2026, Café Julia lists a $5,000 food-and-bar minimum Monday through Thursday, $6,000 Friday and Sunday, and $8,000 Saturday. A 20% service charge and Hawaiʻi GET are additional.
For an early planning conversation, couples with around 150 guests may want to think in terms of approximately $20,000–$30,000+ for venue, food and beverage, service charge, and tax depending on the menu, bar arrangement, upgrades, and final venue pricing.
This is a Weddings by Hauʻoli planning estimate, not a formal quote from Café Julia. Final pricing is confirmed directly by the venue based on the couple’s selections and contract.
Parking & guest logistics
Café Julia does not offer on-site guest parking or valet service. There is a designated drop-off/loading area, metered street parking nearby, and paid parking structures in the surrounding downtown area. Parking rates and operating hours should be confirmed for the event date.
